Crypto exchange Binance has unveiled Dogs (DOGS) as the 57th project to join its Launchpool platform. The Ton-based meme coin, popular within the Telegram community, will make its debut on Binance with trading expected to begin on August 26. The Launchpool aims to support various projects by helping them gain traction within the community.
Binance Launchpool Integrates DOGS
Binance Launchpool has officially integrated Dogs, becoming the first platform to list the token. According to a statement released on August 20, trading for the token will commence on August 26, with four available trading pairs: USDT, BNB, FDUSD, and TRY.
An important note in the announcement reads:
“Binance will be the first platform to list the token mentioned herein, with trading starting at 12:00 (UTC) on 2024-08-26. Any claims offering this token for sale before this date are false advertising. Please do your due diligence to protect your funds.”
Though trading begins on August 26, Binance users will have the opportunity to stake and farm DOGS starting August 23. Users can stake BNB and FDUSD in two separate pools for three days. The total supply of DOGS is set at 550,000,000,000, of which 22,000,000,000 tokens (4% of the total supply) will be distributed as rewards through the Launchpool. Staking BNB will account for 85% of the rewards, while FDUSD staking will make up the remaining 15%.
Platform to Launch Airdrop
The announcement also hinted at an upcoming crypto airdrop, with Binance facilitating the distribution of DOGS to eligible users. However, residents of Canada, the United States, Cuba, Japan, Georgia, the Netherlands, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, among other regions, will be excluded from participating in the airdrop.
The airdrop process will involve taking snapshots of users’ balances and total pool balances multiple times per hour. These snapshots will be used to calculate users’ hourly average balances, with rewards updated on an hourly basis. Users will be able to accumulate their rewards and claim them directly into their spot accounts at any time.

While all of those ultraprocessed choices may be meat-free, they are not without risk, said Duane Mellor, a registered dietitian and senior teaching fellow at Aston Medical School in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
“We can’t always assume plant-based means healthy, as after all sugar is plant-based,” Mellor said in a statement. “Many foods that do not contain animal products, which includes biscuits, crisps, confectionary and soft drinks, are technically plant-based but would not be considered essential as part of a healthy diet by the majority of people.”
In fact, eating such plant-based junk foods dramatically raises bad cholesterol and hypertension and can lead to associated heart disease and early death, according to a new study authors call “the first” to show ultraprocessed plant foods are associated with an increase in the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

“Eating plant-based products can be beneficial, acting as protection against health problems, or it can represent a risk — it all depends on the level of processing of these foods,” said senior study author Renata Levy, a researcher in the Epidemiological Research Center in Nutrition and Health at the University of Sao Paulo, known as Nupens/USP, in Brazil.
Ultraprocessed foods undergo multiple industrial processes, such as heating, fracking of nutrients and proteins, molding and compression, and have added chemicals to cosmetically alter color, smell, taste and texture. Foods in this category are formulated to be hyper-palatable to human taste buds and are often extremely convenient, requiring little to no preparation time.
