Chelsea, a top team in the Premier League, is getting closer to signing Victor Osimhen, a forward from Napoli FC. They’ve reportedly agreed on terms with him personally, despite some worries about following the Premier League’s financial rules.

Chelsea is looking for a top-notch striker and wants Osimhen to strengthen their attack.

An Italian reporter, Rudy Galetti, mentioned that Osimhen, a highly regarded Nigerian player, is excited about joining Chelsea this summer. He moved to Napoli from Lille for about €75 million, but now he might cost between €120 million and €130 million because of his excellent performance in Naples.

Osimhen’s arrival could really help Chelsea, especially since they’ve had trouble scoring goals even after spending a lot on new players last summer.

However, there’s concern over financial regulations and whether Chelsea needs to sell some players before they can bring Osimhen in.

Chelsea is looking at their finances closely. They’re expected to share their financial details soon, which might show they’re just under the financial limit set by the league by £37 million. This suggests they’re managing their money well, but they’ll still face some financial challenges next season. So, Chelsea’s decisions on who to buy or sell by June will depend on how well they can make money from selling players.

Conor Gallagher, one of Chelsea’s players, might leave, with teams like Tottenham Hotspur interested in him. His sale could bring in about £50 million, which would be a big financial boost for Chelsea because he’s from their youth academy and wouldn’t cost them a transfer fee.

To afford Osimhen without financial issues, Chelsea might have to sell Gallagher and maybe two or three more players.
