President Bola Tinubu has asked rich people to help those who are less fortunate in society, especially during the Ramadan fast. He made this appeal in Kano during the start of giving out 140 truck-loads of rice donated by Senator Abdullahi Yari as a tribute to the president. Tinubu, represented by Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, his Senior Special Assistant on Print Media, praised this act of kindness. He mentioned it’s important to support those in need during tough times.

Tinubu stressed the importance of teamwork in leadership and the need to support society’s vulnerable members. “Let’s unite and work together for a better Nigeria,” he urged. He appreciated Yari’s donation of the rice, which has Tinubu’s name and picture, to help the less fortunate. This donation, he said, would help reduce the difficulties many are facing currently.

The president also urged Nigerians to pray for the country’s unity, peace, and progress during Ramadan. Dr. Abubakar Danburam, representing Yari, stated that the donation includes 84,000 bags of 50kg rice, aiming to reach at least 500,000 households in the North. This act is meant to support Tinubu’s efforts in aiding the needy and vulnerable in society.
