Food Insecurity, Hardship Will Soon Come To An End – President Tinubu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promised that the high prices of food will soon decrease.

This promise was shared by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Idris Malagi, who was represented by Jibrin Baba Ndace at the 2024 conference of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations in Niger State.

The President has been working with state governments, security leaders, and important groups to significantly lower the prices of food in markets.

He also tasked the minister with creating the National Value Charter, a document aimed at reminding all Nigerians, regardless of their background, of the country’s traditional values to help Nigeria develop more quickly and effectively.

During the same event, former Governor of Niger State, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, spoke about how planning ahead is essential to avoid economic problems in the future and to improve education for children, including the twenty million girls who are not in school.

He highlighted the young average age of Nigerians, the current population of over two hundred million, and the expectation that it will grow to four hundred and fifty million by 2050. He emphasized the important role of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations in building the nation.

Musa Ladan, the local chairperson of the institute, pledged full support for Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s new plan for Niger State, emphasizing cooperation between the state government and the institute to achieve these development goals.

The keynote speaker, National President of NIPR, Doctor Ike Neliaku, represented by Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, emphasized the importance of maintaining high professional standards in public relations to keep trust between practitioners, the public, and the government.

Another speaker, the Pro-Chancellor of Abdulkadir Kure University in Minna, expressed hope in the New Niger Agenda by Governor Muhammad Umar Bago, highlighting the importance of involving stakeholders, community engagement, and public relations professionals in improving agriculture and education.
