All Progressives Party

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has confidently stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is poised to secure victory in the 2027 presidential election, with numerous Nigerians showing interest in joining the party.

During a meeting with members of the Abia state APC stakeholders’ forum in Abuja, Kalu emphasized the importance of unity among the party’s members in Abia state as a key factor for winning future elections. He urged party stakeholders to embrace forgiveness and reconciliation, especially among those who have grievances.

Kalu asserted, “I can assure you that the APC will win again in 2027. We need to start organizing our party now. If anyone feels wronged, I urge forgiveness so we can advance our political goals. There’s a significant movement towards us. Your welcoming attitude towards these newcomers is crucial. Remember, a political party thrives on its numbers.”

He stressed the necessity for collaboration within the party for the benefit of both the state and the nation.

Kalu added, “Reconciliation and unity are within our power. We should reach out to those who are upset, some cases may be challenging, but that doesn’t mean they are wrong. Our goal should be to bring them back into the fold. Think about who is missing from our ranks and take steps to address their concerns and bring them back. Unity is paramount for our party now.”

Kalu highlighted the importance of each member’s contribution to the party’s strength and urged focusing on qualities like integrity, transparency, and accountability over gender or familial ties. He pointed out that political parties play a role beyond just campaigning; they influence policies.

In a spirit of peace and reconciliation, Kalu proposed that all suspended party members in the state be reinstated.

He encouraged stakeholders to take an active role in unifying the party, emphasizing that it requires sacrifice. He reassured them of the APC’s chances in the upcoming 2027 Presidential election and the growing interest in the party.

Kalu called for a hospitable approach towards new members and underscored the importance of regional and economic integration policies.

Senator Chris Adighije, chairman of the Abia state APC stakeholders’ forum, echoed the Deputy Speaker’s sentiments, focusing on party unity and strategizing for future electoral victories.
