MMWG Group Solicits Support For Tinubu, Suggests Switching To Parliamentary System.

The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria (MMWG) is encouraging people in Nigeria to support President Bola Tinubu’s government. They are also suggesting that the country should switch to a parliamentary system, arguing it would better serve the general population compared to the current presidential system, which they believe benefits public officials more.

In their message for Sallah, marking the end of Ramadan, the group mentioned that the ongoing economic difficulties, made worse by the removal of fuel subsidies, were caused by poor leadership, dishonesty, and corruption in the past.

They are hopeful that the actions being taken by the current leaders will lead to lower fuel prices, which should help reduce the rising costs of goods and services.

According to a statement from Alh Abdullahi Ibrahim, the group’s National Coordinator, the Nigerian currency is getting stronger against the dollar because of economic policies introduced by the government, which deserve everyone’s support.

The group also urges the government at both federal and state levels to quickly improve the electricity supply to boost economic and social development.

MMWG is calling for changes in politics to ensure better governance, pointing out that the current system favors politicians over the common people. They argue that without changing these economic policies and fighting corruption, the situation of the people won’t improve.

Thus, MMWG is asking leaders, community groups, religious figures, and others to push the government toward adopting a parliamentary system, which they believe will lead to better governance.
