Federal GovernmentA new directive that stops staff from the Ministry, Department, and Agency from spending federal government money on trips abroad for three months could help the Federal Government save more than N5 billion during that period.

Here’s how much some departments will save in three months:

The President’s office will save N1.74 billion.
The Vice President’s office will save N307.3 million.
The Ministry of Petroleum Resources will save N299.5 million.
The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment will save N176.79 million.
The National Defence College will save N984.6 million.
The EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) will save N434.56 million.
The Nigerian Intelligence Agency will save N860.8 million.
The Office of the Secretary-General of the Federation will save N47.5 million.
The Auditor General’s office will save N114.9 million.
The Finance Ministry will save N173.2 million.
The Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning will save N173 million.
The Command and Staff College will save N631.48 million.
The Ministry of Justice will save N212.32 million.
The Youth Development Ministry will save N70.8 million.
