In 2024, billionaire Elon Musk is no longer the wealthiest person in the world, losing his top position.

Now, Bernard Arnault has taken over as the wealthiest person, with a fortune of $223.3 billion, moving ahead of Elon Musk.

Musk, who was the richest before, is now in second place, with Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg following him.

As of February 21, 2024, the total wealth of the world’s ten richest individuals is more than $1.52 trillion, which is $9.5 billion less than their total wealth of $1.53 trillion at the beginning of January 2024.

Forbes reports that Bernard Arnault, a French billionaire, is now the richest person globally, with a net worth of $223.3 billion as of February 21.

Arnault’s fortune has risen by $20.1 billion since the start of the year when he was the second richest with $203.2 billion.

Elon Musk, known for leading companies like Tesla and SpaceX and now in charge of X (previously known as Twitter), has fallen to the second spot with a current net worth of $205.5 billion. This is a sharp drop from his $250.4 billion net worth on January 1, 2024, showing he has lost $44 billion in 2024.
